GW has suspended all shuttle operations for the 2020-21 academic year. If it is later determined shuttles are needed, the university will ensure social distancing on shuttles between the university’s campuses by reducing the number of riders permitted on each shuttle and ensuring protection of shuttle drivers via provision of appropriate PPE and social distancing. Shuttles would also be restricted for use to GWorld card holders only. The university will follow applicable CDC guidelines for vehicle cleaning.

Shuttle updates can be found at the GW Transportation Services website.

GW Safe Ride will operate daily from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. Members of the university community can call for a safe ride through the GW Rider app. Passengers are required to wear masks at all times while in a Safe Ride vehicle.

The Wiehle Express metro connection shuttle, route 72, remains in operation. This shuttle operated from Loudoun to Wiehle-Reston East Metrorail Station/Silver Line to the Ashburn Campus.
