To the GW On-Campus Cohort:
As you know, the Foggy Bottom GW COVID-19 testing center recently moved to Shenkman Hall, and we appreciate your patience as we adjust to a new facility. Based on feedback from you and from our providers, we will expand our testing centers for the on-campus cohort to include the Marvin Center, located at 800 21st St., NW, for all asymptomatic COVID-19 testing and flu vaccinations to provide more physical space and to allow for increased social distancing.
Beginning Monday, Oct. 12, all asymptomatic COVID-19 testing for the on-campus cohort will take place in the Grand Ballroom. Flu vaccinations will begin Tuesday, Oct. 13, and will be administered in the adjacent Continental Ballroom. Both spaces are located on the third floor of the Marvin Center.
Symptomatic COVID-19 testing, along with the Medical Faculty Associates' testing center, will remain in Shenkman Hall.
Before you come to the test centers, please remember the following:
- You must make an appointment through the medical portal.
- Appointment times will be enforced to prevent overcrowding at the test centers.
- Walk-ins cannot be accommodated.
- The testing centers are closed between 12-12:30 p.m. daily.
On-Campus Cohort: Scheduling an Asymptomatic COVID-19 Test
Members of our on-campus cohort who are scheduling a routine, asymptomatic (surveillance) COVID-19 test can now make an appointment through the medical portal. Appointments are available Monday through Thursday and on Friday mornings. All asymptomatic testing appointments for the on-campus cohort scheduled for Oct. 12 and beyond will be automatically moved to the Marvin Center. Please note that only members of the authorized on-campus population are approved to test at the Marvin Center site, and an active GWorld card will be required to access this testing site.
On-Campus Cohort: Flu Vaccine Clinic
Flu vaccines are required for the on-campus cohort and must be received or documented by Nov. 10. Vaccines will be available at Foggy Bottom beginning Tuesday, Oct. 13. Going forward vaccines will be available on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout October from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Appointments are not necessary.
On-Campus Cohort: Scheduling a Symptomatic COVID-19 Test
Symptomatic testing, along with the Medical Faculty Associates’ (MFA) testing center, will remain in Shenkman Hall, located at 616 23rd St., NW. Appointments are available Monday through Thursday and on Friday afternoons. There will be separate check-in stations for university and MFA testing.
